Join SIREOS and open up Europe's next solar and storage markets! ☀️
Nous répondons généralement sous une semaine
SIREOS is a fast-growing player specialising in the turnkey construction of large-scale solar PV and energy storage projects in Europe.
Since its creation, Sireos has delivered or secured more than 1,000 MWp of projects in less than 4 years.
The Group has set itself a clear ambition: to make SIREOS a European reference in solar and storage. It rests on four priorities: our international development,
Already established in France and Italy, the company is now accelerating its European development. The Group Strategy & Development Department leads the start-up phase of each new country, from the identification of the market opportunity through to the first contracts and the preparation of the operational launch. several high-potential geographies
These markets are mature and demanding: their grid connection rules, their commissioning frameworks and their construction practices have no direct equivalent in the Group's French or Italian experience.
To support this acceleration, SIREOS is creating, within the Group Strategy & Development Department, a technical capability dedicated to opening new markets.
Your mission
Reporting to the Group Strategy & Development Director, you are the technical referent for the start-up phase of new markets, excluding France and Italy.
You are the technical sponsor of the Business Development team: the referent business developers turn to in order to settle a technical question on a market that no one in the Group knows yet.
You work closely with the Group Technical Department and with the operational teams of the Business Units: you carry SIREOS standards over to the new geographies and feed them back with the specificities of each market.
Your responsibilities
1) Technical assessment of new markets
Assess the grid connection rules and grid compliance requirements of each country: procedures, applicable frameworks, TSO and DSO counterparts, ancillary services and flexibility requirements.
Build reliable energy yield models under high-latitude conditions Characterise local construction conditions: soils and frost, suitable foundations and structures, seasonality of works, availability and cost of labour and equipment, logistics.
Identify the applicable technical standards, HSE and regulatory framework, as well as local content and component origin requirements.
You make it possible to price a market on which the Group has no reference yet.
2) Technical sponsor of the Business Development team
Be the technical point of reference for the Business Developers on the markets being opened.
Provide fast, well-argued answers that you stand behind, including when the available information is incomplete.
Support the teams in front of clients and carry Sireos' technical credibility with prospects discovering the Group.
Raise the team's competence on the technical fundamentals of each market.
You give the commercial team the technical confidence it needs to commit quickly.
3) Technical preparation of bids
Carry out the preliminary design and sizing of solar PV and storage installations: layout, energy yield, concept drawings, grid connection.
Build and challenge the cost estimate: quantities, country cost assumptions, contingencies, optimisation variants.
Support the commercial and legal teams on the technical annexes: scope and interfaces, performance ratio and guarantee tests, acceptance protocols, site conditions.
4) Commissioning and compliance processes
Define, for each country, the applicable commissioning process: energisation procedures, grid compliance tests, tests witnessed by the grid operators.
Identify the roles, authorisations and certifications required from those working on the territory concerned.
Integrate these requirements from the bid stage onwards, in the schedules as well as in the commitments made.
5) Technical standards for new markets
Build, in close cooperation with the Group Technical Department and the operational teams, the technical standards applicable to the new geographies: standard solutions, specifications, design and commissioning frameworks.
Document and hand over these standards to the teams that will take over on the markets already opened.
6) Local technical ecosystem and resources
Identify, qualify local design offices, subcontractors, suppliers and service providers, and manage their deliverables.
Arbitrate between using external resources and building them in-house, depending on the maturity of each market.
Contribute to the recruitment and onboarding of the first local technical resources.
You build the technical capability that will allow Sireos to operate sustainably on each market.
Profil
Engineering degree (electrical engineering, energy, EEA) or equivalent acquired through experience.
5 to 10 years of experience in EPC, in engineering or with a developer, in a technical sponsor, design office or cost estimation role, in utility-scale solar PV.
Real international experience, ideally opening a market
Exposure to storage projects and knowledge of some European markets are strong differentiators.
Skills
Design and sizing of large-scale solar PV, MV/HV electrical engineering, grid connection and grid code compliance.
Commissioning and acceptance processes for grid-connected installations.
Sizing and operating logic of storage systems.
Energy yield modelling and critical analysis of its assumptions (PVsyst, PVcase or equivalent).
EPC cost estimation and economic reading of a project: cost structure, sensitivities, LCOE.
Structured research capability: building a reliable knowledge base on an unfamiliar regulatory or technical subject, distinguishing what is established from what remains to be confirmed.
Fluent professional French and English, a condition for holding the position given the geographies targeted.
What will make the difference
The ability to decide with incomplete information and to state explicitly the level of uncertainty accepted.
Methodical curiosity and a genuine taste for technical and regulatory groundwork.
Authority through competence: the role is exercised first and foremost through influence, with commercial, technical and operational teams.
Autonomy, Mobility and real ease in a multicultural environment.
We are looking for someone able to open, technically, the markets on which Sireos' European growth will rest. The challenge is to move fast on demanding geographies, without ever committing the Group beyond what it can deliver. The position is created without a team and is intended, at the pace at which markets open, to structure the technical capability dedicated to the new countries.
